A while ago, Viktorija Pashuta, a fashion photographer from Los Angeles, known for her interesting series of photos titled “What If Girls Were Internet Browsers”, created another group of photos, this time “What If Guys Were Social Networks”. 😀
We live in an era in which social networks have a huge effect on our lives, and whether we like it or not, we need these platforms to stay in touch with the latest trends, our friends, family, etc. With this in mind, Viktorija tried to humanize and portray what the most popular social networks would look like if they were men.
The idea was not only to use the social media logos as a visual reference, but also to transfer their qualities and usability functions into human character portrayed through fashion.
Although most of them come with similar features and characteristics, each social network has its own style and character. For example, Twitter is young and fast, Facebook is casual, Instagram a mix of vintage and hipster, LinkedIn professional, Tumblr trendy, etc. 🙂
Ladies as Browsers
Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari – all as fashionable women! Again, the idea was not only to show the colour and resemblance to the icons, but also the functionality of those browsers.
For instance, Internet Explorer is flashy, Firefox sexy, Opera elegant, Chrome utilitarian and Safari – trendy/hip.
How do you like these? 🙂0
