Google Nexus 5 will be made by LG. Its hardware will possibly be based on the upcoming LG G2 smartphone.
Since Google introduced Nexus smartphones, they tend to launch one phone each year, and since it’s August already, we’re expecting to see new Nexus 5. Even though there have been stories about Motorola taking over the next Nexus smartphone, it looks like Nexus 5 will be manufactured by LG and the hardware will be based on LG G2 smartphone. However, apart from the hardware, these two phones won’t have that much in common.
According to the sources, new Nexus 5 will come with a 5.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The processor chip 800 will be set to the new Qualcomm Snapdragon, clocked at 2.3 GHz. It will be supported by 3 GB of RAM and will possibly come in two memory versions: 16 GB and 32 GB. A 3300 mAh battery should be powerful enough to withstand the every day use while taking photos and videos with a 13-mega-pixel front, and a 2-mega-pixel back camera. LTE is of course supported. The new Google device will probably be launched with a new version of Android Key Lime Pie 5.o OS.
The release date and price were speculated as well, assuming the possible release date will be some time in October, the same time when the Nexus 4 was launched last year. As for the price, Nexus 5 will be offered at the price of 299/349 € for 16/32 version, respectively.
Stay tuned for more information.
