After Apple has set a new standard in mobile technology with the use of fingerprint scanner in a home button, and other leading mobile companies like LG and HTC revealed their plans of integrating a fingerprint scanner in the rear panel of their next flagship models.
These two companies might adopt the implementation of sapphire home button in their next-generation flagship models, so the devices would work on the same fingerprint recognition principle. Most likely, next smartphones to have this advanced feature will be HTC One 2 and G3, according to the sources.
HTC has already implemented this technology with HTC One Max and it seems they are planning to do the same with the HTC One successor smartphone. For now there have not been any confirmed rumours referring fingerprint scanner in LG handsets, however, for the security measures, LG G3 might adopt this kind of technology in their LG G3 smartphone model.
Smartphone manufacturers are very devoted in developing innovative and advanced technologies in order to set new standards. Besides HTC and LG, the rumour has it that Samsung is planning to integrate an Iris scanner in the upcoming Galaxy S5.
With CES 2014 approaching, we hope these mobile moguls will officially reveal more info at their special events.
