Nokia 5230 is one of the first “low-end” touchscreen phones manufactured by the Finnish company and released in November 2009. The mobile phone comes in two colors, black and white, but customers can choose between various available colours of the Nokia covers.
Design
The Nokia 5230 is similar in design to the smartphones from the XpressMusic line, but lacks the QWERTY keyboard. Of course, there are small differences in size, but generally there are no major changes in design. Nokia 5230 Symbian smartphone weighs only 115g (including the Nokia battery) and has the following dimensions 111 x 51.7 x 15.5 mm. On the back there is a replaceable Nokia shell with a 2-megapixel camera.
Screen and Camera
Nokia 5230 has a TFT 3.2-inch resistive touch screen that supports 16 million colors and 360 x 640-pixel resolution. The 3.2-inch resistive touch screen is the biggest attraction in the front. The sleek and stunning touch screen for quick access to your favorite pictures, movies, songs and favorite sites on the web. On the back there is a replaceable Nokia shell with a 2-megapixel camera. The quality of the picture is undoubtedly good, as well as brightness and contrast. The 2.0-megapixel camera lacks advanced features, but it will be quite enough for the less demanding users.

The Nokia 5230 is a quad-band GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) unit and HSDPA 900/2100 (3.6 Mbps) compatible, with the following features GPRS Class 32 (100 kbps), EDGE 32 class (296 kbps).While the device lacks Wi-Fi feature, users can take advantage of 3G data transfer rate. The handset has a GPS receiver, which works in conjunction with Nokia Maps 2.0 Touch. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, and microUSB for PC synchronization (no charge).
