By now, you’ve all probably become familiar with Lenovo’s line of Yoga tablets, and those among you that are fans of this family of devices will be glad to hear that the company has announced a new Yoga tablet – the Windows 8.1 Yoga Tablet 2.
The Yoga Tablet 2 does boast some similar specs as the other tablets in this series, but it also comes with a number of improvements. Namely, it features an 8-inch Full HD display with AnyPen technology – this means that you can write on its screen with any ballpoint pen or pencil that conducts electricity (meaning, as long as it’s not pure plastic). It’s definitely something different and interesting, but Lenovo says that you need to be careful not to scratch it, though.
Here are the rest of the tablet’s specs:
*Resolution: 1,920 x 1,200 pixels
*64-bit Intel Atom quad-core processor
*2GB of RAM
*32GB of built-in storage (expandable)
*8-megapixel rear camera
*1.6-megapixel front-facing camera
*Dolby and Wolfsen Hi-Fi speakers
*Windows 8.1
*Cylindrical battery pack: up to 15 hours of battery life
*Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0
*Built-in kickstand: four different viewing modes (including ‘hang’ mode)
Lenovo will start selling the device in the US at the end of January 2015 (price: $300), and we are yet to find out when it will arrive to the UK and what price tag it will sport.
