CES has come and gone, but it left a number of new and really cool devices behind it. From secure smartphones to floating TVs and smart home gadgets, this year’s Consumer Electronics Show really made our heads spin. It would be virtually impossible to go over all of these gadgets in one post, which is why we’ve chosen 10 that were the most interesting to us. 🙂
1. Devialet Phantom
According to its creators, the Phantom will replace all the sound equipment in your house – stereo systems, speakers, docking stations, etc. The Phantom offers ADH Intelligence and “an emission of ultra deep sounds by implosion: the Heart Bass Implosion”. It upgrades itself without you having to do anything, and reacts to your presence. Plus it looks kind of like the Death Star. 😀
A fantastic gadget that will really come in handy during those hot summer days – Kube cools your drinks and plays your favourite songs for you.
3. Netatmo Welcome
A camera that recognizes your loved ones, so that you always know when they arrive home, safer. Welcome sends the names of the people who enter your house to your smartphone, and you can use the accompanying app to see who is currently at home or see past events.
Your pet will never feel lonely again with one of these around. The Petcube is a monitoring camera that lets you communicate with your pets via live-streamed videos. The app is available for both iOS and Android.
A smart pacifier that measures your baby’s temperature, gives you data bases on its analysis, and helps you keep track of your child’s health.
7. Polaroid Zip
The size of a larger smartphone, the Polaroid Zip is a photo printer that connects to your device via Bluetooth. You take a photo with your phone and print out small 2×3-inch prints. The app even allows you to edit the photos.
8. Parrot H20
You might remember the Flower Power sensor for your plants. Well, the company has upgraded the sensor by adding a water bottle to it – that is, you can put in a regular bottle of water, and leave your house, knowing that the sensor will water your plant automatically.
9. Muse Brain Headband
In a world of stress, this definitely might come in handy. The Muse tracks your brain waves and, using an app, shows you how to improve your mental fitness. Results? A calmer and more composed mind.
A self-balancing electric skateboard that will provide you with a good workout, as well as let you have some fun. You simply lean forward to speed up, lean back to slow down. Android and iOS apps will let you select different riding modes, track ride activity through GPS, and share your data with friends.0
